I've been setting up my laptop. On Monday I decided to finally watch a dvd in the laptop instead of watching streaming video or whatever. Couldn't get the player to read any dvds. It would either tell me that it was the wrong region or ask me if I wanted to burn a disk. I went into the device manager and there was no region set. I wasn't sure if it was a no region player or if they'd just NOT set a region for some unknown region.

I contacted the support desk. Huh. The player MUST have a region and no one can figure out why they sent me a laptop that wasn't fully configured. No biggie, but a little frustrating all the same.

At least the tech support person didn't treat me like a COMPLETE idiot and listened to the steps I'd already taken to diagnose and try to fix the issue.
