Knitting fingerless mitts! With sock yarn and size 2 needles...going down to size 1 after the thumb.

Still not sure how I let myself be seduced into this since these stitches are seriously tiny and I have to count them to get the pattern stitch right.

It must have been the yarn. Ooooh! Shiny!

Frogged the new mitts. I decided the basketweave pattern was not suitable with this particular yarn. The yarn is a gorgeous handpaint with azure blue, plum, gold and black (Great Adirondack Silky Sock, Serengheti colorway), but with the stitch pattern it just looked kinda muddy. So frogged with only minor regrets...because I learned something from the process. :) Now looking for a good pattern for the yarn. Maybe I'll try something with lace.

Went to Stitch 'N Bitch (where decision to frog was finalized) and worked on another project, which may also end up in the frog pond. Hey, it's just yarn, right?

Did four loads of laundry (two were small loads) and have clean clothes, a clean swimsuit and a clean towel packed for the Y for tomorrow.

Went to visit with [livejournal.com profile] wild_place_king and rounded out a couple of rings for him with my handy dandy mandrel and rawhide mallet.

Returned a bunch of library books and am going through some more, deciding if I'm passionate enough about them to purchase my own copy. Found a stitch pattern for a gift for L...it's from Barbara Walker and it's called Lucina's Shell. :)

Cleaned and refilled the litter boxes and now have the dishwasher running with vinegar so I can run a load of dishes later on.

Whew! No wonder I'm a bit tired. :)
