random musings...
OK, so I sat down in front of my computer, and put on the music. You gotta love the randomize feature...the first four songs that came up were -- Rockapella In Your Eyes, Madonna Like a Prayer (a cappella), Rockapella Jack & Diane, and The Muppets Wild Thing. So the first 20 minutes at the computer, I'm bouncing up and down and side to side like a maniac. Does that count as exercise? Maybe I should just put some handweights by my keyboard tray... :)
Odhinn and Freyja aren't so much liking the whole balance ball thing. They like to climb up on my arm or on the back of the chair and keep me company at the computer. Not so easy to do now. Although Freyja jumped on my lap a bit earlier, and I held her while I was bouncing...she actually put up with it longer than I thought she would. She didn't freak out...she just decided after a couple of minutes that she was done. But Odhinn's favorite place to curl is in my elbow on the arm of my chair. So he's not at all happy with me right now.
In other news, the plumber was here today working on the basement leak...which comes from my kitchen. I *think* he finished up everything. He came up to turn on my water, then went down to check, and shortly thereafter left. So I'm going to call it done. And there was moderate rejoicing. :)
I finished Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell today. I was only about 25 pages from the end this morning before I left for work. Frustrated the hell out of me. And since Kurt didn't come in today, I could have taken it with me. *DAMN, DAMN, DAMN* But I finished it when I came home. I think I'll actually buy this one when it comes out in paperback. Now I'm waiting for the library to come through with the new Laurell Hamilton Meredith Gentry novel. I'm now 7th on the list now (was originally #20)...so I should be getting it sometime just after Beltaine. *Where is my Darkness? Bring me my Darkness!*
