*whimper* still no sleep.
But I made it home in one piece. :) My parking/tail lights wouldn't turn off this morning. I was really in no shape for that this morning. After fussing with them for 10 min, I warned the head mechanic that I might need his help. I then grabbed my manual and actually did the logical thing...I checked through the light section to see if there was something I was missing. There was...there's a weird switch on the steering column that if pushed will turn the position lights on, even when the engine is off. I can really think of no earthly reason for this, since it runs down the battery. But I *fixed* the problem all by myself, even in my sleep deprived state.
I warned my boss and everyone I work with that my fuse was VERY short today. But I managed to get everything covered without killing, which I deem a major accomplishment...particularly since Kurt was being particularly annoying and condescending today. I then left work @ 9:30.
I made it home just in time for my next meal, and decided that instead of the meal I'd packed earlier, I'd make a protein-rich smoothie. I've named it the Double Tough Protein Smoothie: 2 egg whites (pasteurized), 2 scoops banana flavored whey protein powder, 8 oz cold water, 1 small banana, 1/4 cup frozen mango, ground ginger, ground cinnamon. It was quite tasty. I figured that with the lack of sleep, I could use all the protein and other nourishment I could get. Now I'm going to finish my current water allotment, take some ibuprofen and try to sleep for about 2-3 hours.
