I have health insurance again...
OK, so technically I've had it for the past few years, but it was pretty much useless. I paid for it out of each paycheck, and they basically denied most claims --including a much needed strep culture at Target Clinic. In fact, the *insurance card* pretty much stated that it wasn't insurance. I'm still not sure what exactly it was supposed to cover.
But with my change in status from Driver (hourly contract worker) to Field Safety Supervisor (salaried employee), I get actual, real insurance that's reasonably affordable. For not much more per month than I was previously paying for my crappy ass insurance, I now have an $300 annual deductible and thereafter 75% of all PPO visits covered. I have fully covered wellness benefits, I have vision and dental benefits, I have hospital indemnity, I have basic life and AD&D.
This is a very good thing.
