So, Going Postal is a fast, and really quite funny read. It's set in Ankh Morpork, but the Watch is a really minor character. There is more about golems. Vetinari is a more prominent character. There's stuff about con men and "real" names. There's stuff that any computer geek and/or hacker can relate to. There's an initiation into a secret society. Lots of funny throw-away lines.

I don't want to (and can't really) give away much about the book, but I giggled my way through, and laughed out loud on many occasions. It was good to read during the elections.

I haven't gone to the movies in donkey's years. I think the last one I saw in a theater may have been either LOTR 2 or HP2. But somewhere in that vicinity.

But today I took myself to go see What the Bleep Do We Know? What more can a witch who's bad with math ask for...quantum physics, the nature of reality, and spirituality. Oh and magic. Although they don't necessarily call it that. This is one I'll have to see again, and I'm now waiting impatiently for the dvd.

And it appears that physicists are all mad as hatters. But realizing that matter is really large spaces of nothing with nuclei and electrons winking in and out of existence will do that to you, I guess. :o)

I have a lot to think about. And that's a good thing.
