Perceptions are entirely fascinating. Since I upped my per meal protein intake on Monday, I haven't been nearly so anal about making sure I get AT LEAST the appropriate amount... Before, I wouldn't measure out less than 3 oz, I didn't care if it was a bit more (and would err up to .3 oz), but it couldn't be LESS. And yet for at least a couple of meals today I had a smidge less than 4 oz of protein. It didn't bother me nearly as much. I wonder why?
And yes, the extra protein is making me much happier. And so far I haven't noticed any bloating or evil side effects...
In other news, Daylight Savings Time is still kicking my ass. I bought some melatonin this afternoon, and plan on trying it to see if it will help with getting to sleep BEFORE sunset. If it works, it will make the last couple of months of school almost bearable.
I'm off to dry my sheets and do a bit of straightening up... No nap until the sheets are done.
EDIT (5:09PM):
Towels dry; sheets in dryer (will probably need two cycles, since the quilt and mattress pad are in the load). I put together two bags of recyclables in the basement, which are now next to the stairs waiting for the next recycling day. I've also broken down two cardboard boxes that have been sitting on the front porch for WAY too long. And stuff that had been sitting on the radiator under the kitchen sink waiting to go away for millenia is gone as well. Trust me, there's a LOT of cleaning that still needs doing, but I'm feeling some real accomplishment here.
Projects for tomorrow: Haul the new workbench from the landing into the back room, and maybe set it up. Take down the shelves that have been serving as a pantry in the kitchen and assemble and install the new, CLOSED shelves that will be the pantry. Move stuff that needs to get up to the attic upstairs, and make sure the stairs are clear for when the handyman will be changing out the windows and putting in the air conditioners. And will consider attacking the bedroom closet...although that one may still defeat me. :)
