I haven't even logged on to LJ in FOREVER! But, I have seemingly joined the late 20th Century...I mean, I've finally installed a DSL line. No more dial-up for me, baby! And all of you who kept telling me you were trying to reach me, but the phone was always busy...well, now I'll know if you tried to call me or not. >:-) I can talk and surf all together.
Still no cell phone, though. And no plans to get one anytime in the near future.
And I told my boss before the winter break, that when we came back in January, I was going to be leaving every day between 12:30 and 1:30 -- unless it was an actual emergency. And so far, I've been pretty good at getting out the door...once or twice I left closer to 2 or 2:30, but most of the last two weeks, I've been gone by 1:30. Yay, me!
In other news, I won't be able to attend PCon this year...the first in a LONG time. But Merlin is 19 1/2 now and getting kinda frail. I'm worried about leaving him alone for any real length of time these days.
We'll see how he does this spring... One way or another, I may be able to come out west in the summer for a little while.
And finally, I've been working on a few new wire techniques. Some are coming along better than others. I'm having a few mechanical issues with some of them. I may eventually figure out a solution.
