O Lord, Thou art on the sandbanks
As well as in the midst of the current;
I bow to Thee.
Thou art in the little pebbles
As well as in the calm expanse of the sea,
I bow to Thee.
O all-pervading Lord,
Thou art in the barren soil
And in crowded places;
I bow to Thee.
– ‘Sukla Yajur, Veda XVI
I’m glad it’s Friday. It seems like it’s been a long week. Tomorrow I have a full day of classes. I’m learning to rivet, to cold set a gem stone (i.e., no heat) using the aforementioned riveting techniques, and will get to play with a rolling mill to create texture. Not too shabby say I. :)
Then next week, I have a two evening book-making class coming up where I’ll be learning to make “nifty notebooks.” The loose-leaf kind. And another jewelry class to look forward to as well. Woo Hoo! Feeding my creative impulses I am.
And since I’m still in countdown mode, it’s T-9 days until my trip! 'Come Mr. Tally-man, tally me banane...'
