When you arise in the morning,
give thanks for the morning light,
for your life and strength.
Give thanks for your food
and the joy of living.
If you see no reason for giving thanks,
the fault lies in yourself.

I am home and it is good. I meant to go food shopping yesterday, since I don’t have much of anything in the house, but by the time I got home and unpacked, I just didn’t feel like it. And then, last night I didn’t feel like cooking anyway, so I treated myself to a sushi feast. It’s been a while since I ate sushi…and it was REALLY good. :) So I’ll be going food shopping in a little while.
In the first flush of excitement of being back in my own space, I didn’t notice that Merlin wasn’t talking. Remember, he’s a Siamese. They ALWAYS talk. This morning, he managed a mrowr…and the quality of the sound and the difficulty he had in making it leads me to suspect that he’s had another stroke. That makes five that I know about since last February. And he’s lost substance. Not weight, exactly. On the other hand, though, I’m fairly certain he’s not ready to leave yet. He was stealing food from the others last night and this morning.
