Take One:
OK, so I knew that my recycling had piled up a bit...after all, the backyard had been pretty much a sheet of ice since mid-January, and I went to CA smack bang between two recycling pick-ups. But I really had no idea that it had been THAT out of control. I took out 14 bags of recycling for this morning's pick up. FOURTEEN! And I'm a single woman. Granted I'm a crazy cat lady with three cats, but still. And even more amazingly, while I can see a teeny bit of a difference, *stuff* seems to have flowed into the crevices left by those bags, so my household is STILL over-crowded. I am just too much of a pack rat. Can I learn to de-clutterify my house and my life? I wonder. I'm feeling overwhelmed by the whole thing. I think of tackling the piles of crap, and I just want to run screaming. Ack!
Take Two:
Further to a comment I made in the Blue Star Fitness group, I've decided that I REALLY like the stretchy resistance bands. REALLY, really. I can feel not only the specific muscles working, but also the *static* muscles if that makes sense. Like if I'm doing a shoulder rotation with the left shoulder, I can feel the muscles in the right arm which is holding the band steady. That's so COOL!
Take Three:
There are days that I really just want to stab my boss repeatedly. Today was one of those days. He tells me to take a stand-by off the rotation, that the guy has been assigned a route. I assume that he's SPOKEN to the guy, and told him he's not being paid for *standby* hours. But apparently not. This morning, the driver stages a scene, and Kurt tells me to pay him from 6am. Never mind that the moron driver is getting MEGA overtime on this route. WTF? When I point it out to my boss (since he's concerned about overtime costs), he says *oh*. Jackass! And that's just at 6am. I still have five more hours to get through.
Take Four:
I'm playing with a new marinade for chicken this afternoon. Pineapple juice, lime juice, lemon juice, jamaican jerk spices. I had pineapple juice left over from straining out the canned pineapple for my fruit salad. It smells pretty good. I'll know better tomorrow if it works well. :)
Take Five:
I really love Rockapella! They always lift my spirits. I'm off to bed now.
