It is neither spring nor summer: it is Always,

With towhees, finches, chickadees, California

        quail, wood doves,

With wrens, sparrows, juncos, cedar waxwings,

        flickers,

With Baltimore orioles, Michigan bobolinks,

And those birds forever dead,

The passenger pigeon, the great auk, the

        California paraquet,

All birds remembered, O never forgotten!

All in my yard, of a perpetual Sunday,

All morning! All morning!

I got to play with PMC (Precious Metal Clay for the uninitiated) today. I took a class for making a ring. OOOOH! Me wants to play more. Me likes!

I don't actually care for the ring that I made THIS time, but I can see possibilities. :) I had some clay left over, so I also made a quick pendant.

This was the low fire stuff, so we were able to fire it with a torch. mmmmm, fire. And then we got to play with toxic chemicals (Liver of Sulfur), which is even more fun. ;) I patina-ed a silver ring I already had, and it's now sort of coppery gold with purple, blue and green highlights. Yum!

So, I think I see PMC somewhere in my future. Now, is anyone surprised?
