If it weren't for the fact that today is *bonus* day -- i.e., we get our so-called vacation pay (in my case one week) -- and if we don't show up to work TODAY it will be cancelled, I would just go straight back to bed and sleep all day. I got a call from one of my best buds just as I was settling in to sleep, and then couldn't sleep -- and my sleep rhythyms are already fucked up from the extended period of gloom (both here and in SF over Yule). So today I am a sad and sorry little willowoak. *sigh*

But this afternoon, I will have a new couch to nap upon. So I will perservere.

I KNEW I should have stayed in bed. Really I did. *sigh* Whenever my boss tries to handle stuff, it's always screwed up. And the BIG charter that was going today was a case in point.

26 buses. Except we didn't have enough BY plate buses (needed for going out of state), since two of our BY buses bit this dust this summer and fall...and another one last spring. And he assigned two buses to two separate people each. And he didn't have them start the buses at 6am, when they were starting the other buses, he waited until 7...so we weren't aware of issues until it was too late to do much about them. GAH! BIG, horse-sized stupid pills, I think.

And I DON'T have my new couch. It wouldn't fit up the front stairs, and I have to clear out the back stairs...so I have to arrange for new delivery.

This was definitely NOT my day.

I should have just stayed in bed.
