So I get an email from eBay saying that they'd like me to participate in an online survey to help *improve the online shopping experience.* Fine, I'm OK with that. :)

First they ask how often I shop, items I've bought, etc. THEN they get into more specifics. They want to know the actual sites I've purchased from, the items I've bought AND the cost, both actual and s/h. Now I'm thinking, *Fuck off! None of your damn business* But of course, there's no key that SAYS that, so I just keep pushing *continue.* Well, the screen keeps coming back, saying *If you don't remember, please estimate.*

So I close the screen and send eBay an email which says:

Hello--

I don't mind taking a survey to assist in general shopping research, etc, including items purchased and sites purchased from. But I WILL NOT supply actual costs or amounts paid (or even *estimates*) or any other financial information whatsoever. It's nobody's business but mine and the person from whom I purchased the item. End of story.

Please take me off your list for any *research* which includes financial disclosures of this nature.

Thank you.

I will admit it right now...I've never really liked the Anita Blake series. I read the first five and just got BORED. So I quit.

I'm still quite fond of the Merry Gentry series, but I'm getting just a wee bit bored with the sex over plot gestalt. Yes, I actually like my porn with a plot. :) Although, there's always Doyle. MMMM, yes, Doyle. I still need to get a camisole that says *Where is my Darkness. Bring me my Darkness.*

In any event, I found a new book this week, which I finished up within the day (instead of all the other stuff I *should* have been doing). Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. The main character is Mercedes Thompson, a walker (coyote magic) and a mechanic. There are werewolves, witches, fae and even vampires. Lots of action, and LOTS of sexual tension. No sex yet. But there is plot in abundance.

Trust me, it's a lot of fun.

Book 2, Blood Bound is due next January. She says she doesn't know if it will extend beyond the four currently planned (three are already written). If there's good response to these books, and if she doesn't get bored with the characters, she will continue.
