(no subject)

I was sorely tempted. Best Buy is offering a desktop computer with 6Gb RAM, 640Gb hd and peripherals for $599.96 on Black Friday. My desktop is about 7 years old, with 512MB of RAM. I freely admit to being tempted.

But I have no REAL interest in heading out into the madness that is retail today. I don't like crowds and I'm not overly fond of shopping at the best of times...and this is anything BUT the best of times. So I will sigh heavily and forgo the desktop.

Hah! I just bought a new desktop system. It's pretty comparable to the one offered by Best Buy (only 4Gb RAM instead of 6Gb, but I can always add more if I need it. and I think it's duo core instead of quad core -- but I'm not gaming, so I don't think that'll be a huge issue) for only about $50 more than that one. Plus I didn't need to leave the house and I'm only paying $1.99 for shipping.

Sweet! The not having to go out shopping was the clincher. :)

OK, it was probably inevitable. A couple of days ago I learned how to make star washcloths. So I made them in denim blue shaded yarn -- and we have Blue Star washcloths. Cool. :) Then I tinkered with the pattern and made a Blue Star heptagram/septagram washcloth. Yes, I did.

But the first one is definitely going to C&T.

I actually got a few pictures of Usna.

He's not usually sitting still long enough for me to dig out the camera. But I was able to get a couple of cute shots.

And hangin' out in The Box(TM). I don't know why they like this box. But they do. All of them. And I can't think it was a comfortable position, but he hung out this way for a good few minutes. But then, cats are weird.
