(no subject)

Looks like we got our January thaw in February. :) It's supposed to be up into the low 40s for at least part of the week, which is nice. Hopefully most of the snow/ice will melt before we get hit with the cold again.

Must go in to work today. Don't want to. But I have meetings tomorrow, so I must prepare. Damn meetings.

So today was a sort of Good News...Bad News sort of day...

The good news is that I went in to work to prepare for the meeting tomorrow. Hmmmph. That did not feel like Good News. But it was. Because I was there and doing preparation, I was able to discover that the dvd we were going to show tomorrow on Autism/ASD has gone walkabout. THAT is the Bad news.

I am now scrambling to prepare sufficient information to talk intelligently (or not, few people who will be there would notice the difference) about ASD for about 20-30 minutes. I have Google-fu and therefore have TONS of information. Most of it suitable for parents or PhDs. Not so much of it is suitable for bus drivers. So I am weeding and revising and pruning and writing.

T-14.5 hours. Oh, and I need to sleep at some point too.

Gah! OK, so y'all have my attention. Where's the damn dvd?

So I have now distilled about 120 pages worth of information about Autism Spectrum Disorders down into about 4 pages (closely written with fairly small margins) that I can use as notes for the meeting. This may actually work. We shall see.

I am, however, fairly convinced that my head asploded.
