I bought a pair of swim fins online to help me strengthen my legs and my kick and to add resistance. All good things. I followed the directions to buy 1-2 sizes smaller because they're supposedly sized for men.

Yeah, right.

I have a size 12 foot with high arches. I can't even wedge half my left foot into the damn fin. I can shoehorn my right foot into the fin because it's smaller, but it then takes me five minutes to get the thing off. Therefore I do believe that the XL fins -- sized 10-11 MENS -- are too small. Nothing to do but go up a size. That'll put me in XXL which is just wrong, somehow. :)

Bugger, bugger, BUGGER. Now I have to pay return shipping and wait about two weeks to get the next size up fins. 'Tis true that this is one of the perils of on-line shopping. On the other hand, I don't have to GO shopping. And most of the time I think that makes it all worth it.

I may hold off for a day or two in shipping them back and see if I can locate that style of fin in my size in this area and just buy the suckers and send back for a credit. Right now, I'm just feeling the pissiness of not having the thing I wanted work out for me.

Whine, whine, whine...
