OK...so I was posting to
daurdabla's LiveJournal about this whole Loyalty Day brouhaha. *deep sigh* So I went back and actually read the Bill of Rights because (a) I wanted to make sure I quoted the First Amendment accurately (my all time favorite, just so you know) and (b) because I have Google on my home page and I'm not afraid to use it.
Just in case you haven't read the Bill of Rights lately, I encourage everyone to READ them, and not to make assumptions. It's much more instructive. If you don't want to spend time googling, I am posting this link as a public service: Legal Information Institute
In any event, after reading through the Bill o' Rights this time, I've decided that the underappreciated 9th amendment is going to be my 1st runner up for favorite amendment.

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. "
