I stayed up WAY too late last night. I had a most excellent visit with mscindyn, and didn’t want to end it. Of course, I was up so long that I should have eaten another snack…but didn’t until it had been over 6 hours since my last meal. And I didn’t drink enough water. Bad girl, no biscuit… I’m trying to retrain my thinking here, and it really does require adjustment.
Today seems to have brought back whatever crud I’ve been fighting on and off all week. I got up this morning, stayed up for almost two hours and then went back to bed. I dozed on and off through the morning, interspersing sleep with reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell. I was on the library waiting list for this one for three months…not unreasonable, since I was 128th on the list when I started out. :) I was going to do my exercise, but I’m a bit feverish, so I decided against it. I will probably do some stretching later on, but I’ll be careful about it.
I will admit complete bafflement with the clothing industry,
especially that segment that makes underwear. I have no idea what size I wear. I have a range of sizes from a range of manufacturers and they ALL FIT DIFFERENTLY. WTF? I have some size 10s that are huge, while a pair of size 12s barely fits. So, I decided to pick a pair that I like, and buy only from that manufacturer for a while…that way I’ll have a yardstick for comparison. So, I was wearing size 10 from them, which are now huge. Yesterday I bought some 9s, which are quite loose, and a couple of pairs of size 8 (which I’ll try on tomorrow), but I suspect will run from fitting fairly well to being just a little tight. This is giving me a better sense of where I fit in their spectrum. So using that as a tool, I’ve lost between one and two sizes in their underwear in the last four weeks. Not bad, not bad at all. :D
