O Lady

the hem of whose garment

is the sky, whose grace

falls from her glance, who give

life from the touch of one finger.

O Lady

whose hair is the willow, whose breath

is the riversong, who lopes

through the milky way, baying, stars

going out, O

Lady whose deathshead holds a thousand eyes

eye sockets black imploded stars, who trails

frail as a northern virgin on the mist, O

Lady, fling your bright drops to us, emblems

of your love, throw

your green scarf on the battered earth once more

O smile, disrobe for us, unveil

your eyes.

Okay, so apparently I wanted to erase April 15, and somehow managed to set my computer a week ahead.  :) Who knew.  But I’ve fixed all those journal entries now, and I’m back to the actual date.  I’m also feeling better.  I slept about 12 hours on Friday…waking up every 3 hours almost on the dot because it was time to eat.  This whole schedule is interesting.

I stayed up for a little while in the afternoon and watched *Shall We Dance*, the American remake.
I’d resisted seeing it for a while, first because it’s a re-make and second because it’s Richard Gere.  I’m not a huge fan of his.  But I think he’s gotten much better with age.  Also, I actually think they did a REALLY good job of translating the movie to America.  But at the same time, I’m almost surprised the movie got made…I mean, Richard Gere is married to Susan Sarandon (who’s actually his age), he loves his wife, he DOESN’T have an affair, he doesn’t expect her to be responsible for *making* him happy, and the bulk of his conflict is internal.  A romantic movie that actually has elements of real life in it.  OMG!  So when the price comes down a bit, I’m going to buy it, because I’m going to want to watch it again.  And then there’s always the ballroom dancing. :)  Stanley Tucci rocks, by the way.  And there’s an incredibly romantic Peter Gabriel song on the soundtrack…have I mentioned lately that I LOVE Peter Gabriel?

I’m congested again this morning, but since I’m allergic to Merlin, that’s not entirely surprising…plus I may be developing MORE allergies in my *old age*.  GAH!  Today will be a puttering day.
