I vacuumed today...I moved the SOFA to vacuum behind it. I cleaned up all the stuff that's been living on the floor NEXT to the sofa. I also vacuumed the computer room (I've actually cleared floor space in there. No, really.). I did laundry and turned my mattress. We were having circle this afternoon, and it all seemed like a really good idea.
Sometimes I imagine living in the Winchester Mystery House! :) I could just go moving into new rooms...or even building more rooms once I'd filled the existing ones with stuff. Nah, that would just get too scary for words.
So I made it my New Moon Vow to look at the stuff in the computer room this next month and decide what stays and what goes. This won't be so easy for me as I'm a pack rat by nature. But I need to learn to be more selective about the things I keep...otherwise I'll feel trapped and impotent.
So...the vow. This will force me to look at my "stuff" and decide what is STILL important to me, and what I need to let go of (even if I do love it, is it helping me to the places I want to go?).
I'm really trying to break this project down into manageable bites.
In other news, since it's cold and it snowed yesterday, I made shepherd's pie for after circle feast...ground lamb, carrots, mushrooms and green beans in a shiraz gravy. Yukon Gold garlic mashed potatoes with parmesan. It turned out lovely. And I have leftovers! YAY!
