Well, I dropped of my car at the body shop today...it'll be 3-5 days before it's fixed..new hood, new hinges, probably a new cowl.
My insurance covers use of a rental car while repairs are made, and Enterprise picked me up and took me to their facility just down the road. I was expexting a sort of compact/midsize vehicle, but the guy told me they'd been really busy that day, so I had two choices...one was a Kia that was so small my knees would have been up under my armpits or a Ford 150 4X4 truck. And he offered to fix it so the price for the truck would be covered by the insurance. So, I'm driving a big ass Ford truck.
OMGs! I have to admit I rather like it. I like not having to step down into a vehicle...although the hop I have to do to get into the truck isn't entirely graceful...and it's nice being able to see over other cars. I could get used to this, although not enough to actually buy one myself. Plus the gas money would irritate me no end. But it IS fun to play with.
So, I hightailed it over to Ikea and bought one of the bookshelves I needed. And it just fit in the truck bed. Woo Hoo!
