Wow, I've been almost too busy to think the last couple of weeks.
I wish my house would stop eating my tools and books. The latest is that my good jewelry tweezers have disappeared (along with a couple of bead trays and some silk thread and other findings). I've gone to all the reasonable places, including the last place I used them. But...nothing. Vanished into thin air.
My house elves have such a twisted sense of humor. They never return a book until I've bought a replacement copy --and with some of my books, that's not so easy to do. *sigh* But I don't want to start replacing the tools as well.
Anyway, the weather here is MN spring. Yesterday it was over 80, now it's hovering around 50. And we've had thunderstorms and even hail this week. There was a confirmed tornado sighted just north of the city, and another uncomfirmed report of one just east of that.
Also, earlier this week, I saw a raven and a squirrel in a standoff. The squirrel won that one -- it was a funny sight. :-)
And then, I was driving the bus one morning, and saw this gnarled old tree with brand new spring growth, and this haiku started to form.
Dark, gnarled branches...
Tender green leaves bursting out.
Spring makes new again.
