Here is the text of the letter of support I sent with two checks to President Fire Thunder...

Dear President Fire Thunder:
I was made aware via Live Journal of your decision to build a Planned Parenthood Clinic on your land after the South Dakota Legislature’s recent bill to effectively ban abortion in that state.
While I do not personally believe in abortion, I passionately support the right of all women to make such a personal and intimate decision for themselves, without the interference of the government. Therefore, I applaud your decision to provide the women of South Dakota with access to health services in order that they may make their own choices. I would like to show my material support for your efforts with the enclosed check, in the amount of $XX.
Further, since I’m aware that the Pine Ridge Reservation is among the poorest areas of the country and I understand that there’s substantial inherited debt for the Tribe as a whole, I admire your commitment to providing access to women’s health services even more. Therefore, I’m enclosing an additional check in the amount of $XX for the use of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in any way that you see fit.
I send you my best wishes and support in your efforts. May you meet with great success in your endeavors.
