Close a door. Close a door that they're used to having open. Then close it with YOU behind it.
That will REALLY torture a cat.
The back room has been closed off since last Wed night. T&J are out of town, and I'm keeping their cats until tomorrow (or Wed.), since they live hella far out of town (in Monticello).
My cats are used to having the back room. And they know someone's in there. And, except for Merlin, they've all spent time in the back room before being introduced to the household. I've explained that the whole thing is temporary...and they're leaving soon...but the cats aren't buying it. However, most of the time they'll ignore the situation. UNLESS I'm in the back room. Then it becomes an issue. So I haven't spent much time with the visiting cats.
And then Bwcca started crying early this morning. He's lonely, and wants to be petted and loved. Kel's not so lonely, although she's comes over to me now when I'm in there. But they both hate being cooped up. I can't wait for T&J to get back.
