I had a whole bird theme going on with the haiku (I've actually got a couple more featuring brids waiting), but then yesterday the temps went up a bit here in MN. I think we may have hit 20. And I saw that a number of trees had budded out. And so, here goes today's haiku...

Sap begins to rise…
Buds burgeon, waiting to burst.
The trees wait for Spring.
