Thank you all for the congrats on the New Job (TM) at the Old Job. :)
Mind you, I'm fully aware of the ironies of being rather excited when I was posting just the day before about my reservations of accepting another position at the same company. The whole not liking many of the policies thing, and such. Well, I still HAVE those feelings. But it's been a good eight years since I've had decent, affordable benefits and paid vacay, etc. so I'm excited about that part of the job...there's a significant difference between being a driver and being staff. The last six years I've been in the unenviable position of functioning as *staff* but being paid and benefitted as *driver.*
But I'm also continuing to keep my eye out for other opportunities. Just in case something really COOL opens up. Oh, and I still want to be moving back out west in the next few years. I'm thinking Pacific Northwest. No, really.
