Been workin'. I went in on Saturday, today and will go in tomorrow as well. I've been good about not working 9 and 10 hour days, more like 5 or 6 hours, but still there's just so much to be done. And the shit hasn't even hit the fan yet.
In the past week, I got paperwork for 35 kids. I counted. I've got 30 of them routed, set to start anywhere from 9/04 to 9/08. I need to consult with my boss about the other 5 because I need to switch one route to a wheelchair because they added a kid in a wheelchair AT THE LAST MINUTE, and I need to add another route because they've added four kids to another school who are widely spaced and I simply can't put them all on the one existing bus and get them to school in the time frame. Sigh.
And I had to have the SAME argument that I had on Friday, because A's brain is mush. I have to constantly remind him the sequence of events in any given situation. Then he talks to someone else who has no idea what's going on and gives him incorrect information, and he immediately forgets everything I've told him and sent him via email. I'll be so glad to be done with routing.
Tomorrow I'll be concentrating on putting all kinds of paper in the appropriate books, NOT on routing. That will be a nice change. I'm hoping the get out of there in under four hours. We'll see.
