OK, that first line was NOT supposed to have a question mark... It was an ellipses. But I guess when I did the cut and paste thing, something somewhere got confused (the difference between Word and LiveJournal code, I guess). So the haiku should read:

Sap begins to rise...
Buds burgeon, waiting to burst.
The trees wait for Spring.
