Odhinn's developing so quickly... In fact, his testicles have descended in the last several days, and I've had to make the arrangements to take him in to get "the snip." He's on a testosterone high, in addition to the kitten energy, and alternates between completely wild and amazingly affectionate. There is no middle ground. Poor Merlin does not deserve to be jumped every couple of minutes. He's 16 and has earned the right to relax occasionally. :-)
My car, Freya, has been acting a bit strangely lately, although not in any way that she will repeat when there's actually a mechanic anywhere near her. Suddenly last Friday, I had problems getting her started -- which has almost never happened before (except once on one of the coldest winter days). I would turn the key, and just get a click, and it wouldn't catch until the third or so try. I talked to our Shop supervisor, Tony, and he went out to have a look yesterday, and of course, she started up immediately every time he tried. And has started up with no problems each time I've tried since then. ARGHHH!
And then today, there was a shaking that started up when I hit 60 mph, almost like the engine would fall out. Now, I had this before last fall, although my mechanic, Jason, could never replicate the problem. But it hasn't happened since then. And of course, Jason is out of town until next week. But I'll bet it won't happen for him either. I just got off the freeway and drove surface streets for a while, then got BACK on the freeway and it didn't happen again. This is frustrating to say the least. I really don't have the money for car problems right now.
My frustrated haiku for today.
Car problems happen--
Always when money is tight.
But I can't "bus it."
