Verdure, she is done. I just have to dab fray check on a little bloop of yarn, cut the bloop, wash and dry the scarf. Whew!

I am also more than half way through with my Secret Santa hat. This is a beret/newsboy style hat, which is done almost entirely in FPDC (front post double crochet) and BPDC (back post double crochet), creating a ribbed look and a thick but springy fabric. It eats up yarn like crazy -- I'm doing this in Noro Kureyon, colorway 188 in moss green, purples and gray/navy/black. I'm just finishing the crown up and I'm almost through my skein. I got two skeins, and the stitch is switching soon to single crochet, so that will use up a little less yarn. :) I was out doing driver observation today, and there's down time that I can use for crochet.

I also got the edging yarn for another hat, so I'll probably work on finishing both those projects tonight...before I start another one.
