(no subject)

It's been an...odd...few weeks. I haven't had anything earth shattering, or even mildly interesting to say, let alone write in haiku. So I haven't. However, I HAVE been working with wood like crazy. I made two scourges (go ahead, ask me about the one I made with a horse head handle, just ask! I'm so proud!), two wands and finally smoothed down the handle for my new broomstick.

I did go up to Monticello last week to watch the eclipse. It was fabulous. Almost makes up for all those missed meteor showers last year when the weather would just NOT cooperate, and every evening there was supposed to be prime viewing, we had clouds and/or rain. *sigh*

I do have a random haiku that I wrote on the way home from the eclipse...

The scent of lilacs
Hangs heavily in the air--
Damn these allergies!

But the season will be over soon.
