And now I wish to pray and perform

a ritual of my devotion to the sun.

I will bow and sing beneath my breath,

then perform the dance of farewell

and my confidence in the suns return.

All is dance; the sun glides along the horizon;

Now the leaves sway;

Now the earth spins.

I like this one.  It reminds me of a creation story I wrote years ago where all life was brought into being through a dancethat the Lady first began alone, and then brought forth the Lord, and THEY danced all into creation.  And we each participate in the dance, and through the dance in our own creation.

There are just days where you *know* with every fiber of your being that you should just roll over and go back to sleep. If you get up, you WILL regret it.

Today was one of those days. In theory, it should have been an easy day. It's Friday, and it's the end of the Minneapolis vacation, so I should have had (a) enough drivers and (b) enoough equipment. Neither one happened. *see Cynthia pulling out her hair* But I got through the morning, and that's all that I cared about...

But then, two major fuck-ups happened...one personal and one work. I was fully and solely responsible for the personal one, but had nothing to do with the work one. It will just make Monday morning more *interesting*.

I was running some errands and stopped by the bank to make a deposit. There was a line, so I decided to use the automatic teller. For some unexplainable reason, I failed to retrieve my card. I thought I had, but obviously not. You guessed it. The machine ate my card. It's deactivated, and it will now be 7-10 business days before I have a new card. *sigh* My own damn fault.

Some new procedures are going to be put into place at work in the next few weeks. Since there was no Minneapolis school this week, they decided to pull the radios out of all the buses to reprogram them. Now this was not well handled in the first place, but that's not the main problem...the main problem is that the DISTRICT employee responsible for reprogramming the radios completely fucked up and misprogrammed our *all call* channel to another company's frequency. Now I can't do a general call to our drivers, and the other company is bitching at US. On top of it, the sorry excuse for a man who's responsible for the fuck up won't drag his sorry ass to our base to fix his mess. Oh no! WE have to pull the radios out and bring them down so he can re-reprogram them.

Can anybody recognize a Mercury retrograde influence in all this?

I should really have stayed in bed today.
