So, Monday I was hacked big time...despite a firewall, 3 antivirus programs and two spyware programs (1 antivirus & spyware are integrated in my firewall). I was surfing the Net doing some research and suddenly, windows started popping up all over the place and my firewall kept pinging me saying that such and such program was trying to get access to various areas of the computer... I will say that both the Xoft Spyware and Zone Alarm did a decent job of letting me know what was happening and helping me get the crap off. Of course, I wish they'd managed to keep it from happening at all. *shrug*

At this point, most everything has been cleaned off my computer. But there's one bit of spyware left...as far as I can tell, it's either a trojan or a dialler, Winopn32.dll, but getting relevant information about it is REALLY hard. And I can't seem to remove it. Even after rebooting in Safe Mode, and making sure it's not in my startup. But I just can't get access to delete the damn thing -- I keep getting *Access Denied* and that it's either in use or write protected. But I checked the properties and it doensn't seem to be the case.

Does anyone here know anything about that driver?

Also just to be safe, if you get any email from either of my earthlink accounts, it's probably better NOT to open it until I say it's clear.
I really MUST find a better way of keep track. :) But from one Cancer to another, have a wonderful year!

HUGS!
