Sensuous during life
do not deny me in death!
Wash me with the scent of apple blossom.
Anoint me with the essence of lilac.
Fill my veins with honeysuckle nectar.
Sprinkle me with perfume of purple violets.
Envelop me in shroud saturated with fragrance of freshly
mown meadow hay.
Rest me in moss velvet earth.
Cover me with soil exuding flavor of maple and oak leaves.
Command a white birch to stand guard!

Hmmmm, I don’t quite know why this one caught my fancy today. And while many of the images are quite lovely, you can KEEP the lilacs. I’m allergic. :)
Back from IG. I was very sorry to have missed the discussion on invocation/evocation. *pout* But the workshops I attended were quite interesting and thought provoking. The main ritual, crafted and performed by lindalee and Tommy (of Starsong), was beautiful and subtle. The weekend was made even lovelier by the chance to see dear ones I don’t get to see nearly enough of...although it was difficult to spend enough time with anyone.
Somehow I managed to twist my knee on Monday. I have no idea how I managed that one. But it’s tender and sore. So no serious exercise for me for a little while. I don’t want to mess it up further. *sigh* I didn’t do too badly with my eating…there were a couple of times when I just waited too long between meals…which didn’t put me in the best headspace for that time. Low blood sugar is a bad time to make any decisions. :)
Monday I revamped the first necklace I made for Rhiannon…I needed to replace the center charm, which I’d drilled in the wrong place, so it kept flipping up and not laying properly. I judged the new one correctly, and now it looks RIGHT. Yesterday I made the third of the four necklaces I need to make for Her. This one is for the water-y aspect, it’s a Celtic knotwork *seahorse* with dangling lapis beads and pearls adorning the chain. I still have one more to make, but I need to start practicing with fimo before I try the design in PMC. I’m not sure my sculpting talents are up to it.
