Thanks to the lovely women -- [livejournal.com profile] tigira, [livejournal.com profile] rhiastarr,[livejournal.com profile] sabrinamari and [livejournal.com profile] eponacrony -- who have offered their support (and requested support as well) in changing life habits.

I DID my 1 mile walking tape today. I was actually quite lazy today, and didn't get much accomplished beyond emptying and refilling the dishwasher. I also spent some time 'Net surfing. I then took a nap, and watched Muppet Treasure Island with the commentary on. I do so love Tim Curry. He's SO broad and SO over the top. In fact, in a couple of places he out-Muppets the Muppet performers, including Miss Piggy. Not an easy task.

But then, I reminded myself that I had made a promise to start my exercise program today. So when the movie was done, I popped in the tape and did the walking.

My next step, as I become accustomed to incorporating exercise into my life again will be to start a stricter low carb regime -- I really feel so much better when I cut out the sugar and the flour. So today I put in an order for a couple of low carb cookbooks, including one for slow cookers in the hope that this will make it easier for me to stick with low carb. But I'm trying to remember to make changes slowly and to start with baby steps.

My plan for tomorrow includes 10-15 minutes on the rebounder (trampoline) doing a gentle *health bounce*.

So even though I didn't DO much today, I actually feel...well...accomplished. :o)

oh, and I created two new avatars... The "with attitude" looks. I found my way to dookeyweb.com, and played with their avatar creator. The only problem I had was that it took me a LONG time to figure out how to save the damn things so I could use them because dookeyweb is a flash media site.

Hee hee, but then I got creative. I used my Paintshop Pro to capture the screen, and then cropped the avatars and saved them to an appropriate size for LJ.

The whole process took about two hours of tinkering, but I was so proud of myself when I finished the process... I think I may have become a 'puter geek when I wasn't looking.
