(no subject)

So it appears that Odhinn fell out of one of the windows yesterday afternoon. He's been climbing the screens to chase flies, and this one was missing the catch, so it probably flew out and deposited him in the flower bed two stories down.

I didn't notice anything amiss for a while. Then I was going out last evening, and when I got to the base of the stairs and was ready to open the door, I heard a kitten crying. I thought it was strange, since Odhinn doesn't usually cry when I go out. But when I opened the door, there he was...poised to run if it wasn't me. But when he realized that it WAS me, he made a mad dash for the stairs. I think he was just a bit freaked out by the whole thing.

But since he's a kitten, and therefore boneless, there seems to be no damage. Trust me, I've touched everywhere to make sure nothing was broken and there was no internal swelling or anything.

And since he IS Odhinn, I closed that particular window, and checked that the windows remaining open HAVE their latches. I can see him becoming a thrill seeker by bashing open screens and dangling from high places.

My little wanderer has returned home safely.
