The cold front pushed through,
Clouds and cool breezes greet me--
Glad to be alive!
Jason came over this morning and managed to get Freya started up. So I was able to drive her to the shop so that he could put in a new starter (a top of the line Bosch starter no less). And now she starts. And starts. And starts. This is a very good thing.

In sun-dappled shade,
Freya sits, mutely dreaming--
Awaiting new quests.

So this afternoon, we'll head out for the BBQ at Bill and Beth's. Maybe it's not slaying a dragon, but it's an outing. :o)

There's nothing quite so wonderful as the anticipation of getting into a bed with clean, warm sheets and comforters on a cool night. I'm very glad I decided to do laundry today. :o)

The BBQ was lovely, with much yummy food and good company. I was sorry to leave early. But with my waking up schedule, I wanted to be sure that my bedding was done BEFORE my bedtime.

My back has been rather sore lately. I know I torqued it pretty badly on my Boston trip (trying to squish myself into a bulkhead seat. OUCH!), and it hasn't quite recovered. And now I'm exercising as well. Although I'm quite careful to maintain good posture. But it was particularly sore this evening. So, I put on my thinking cap, and came up with the idea of doing some aerobic breathing combined with some stretches -- using a strap to assist with some of the positions. Hmmm...that wasn't a bad idea at all. It's still sore, but demonstrably less sore. Note to self...remember this for the future.
